Entering their 21st year of ministry, Russell and Kristi’s Abandon is a family project like none before it. The album was produced during the global pandemic, a time of uncertainty and turmoil for the world, which forced a family that normally lives on the road to be home and still for a season. While the couple has always highlighted their kids, Will and Sidney, on their previous projects, both of the kids are more present than ever on this project. Will is featured on guitar on most tracks, while Sidney’s brilliant and clear voice leads Broken Vessels.. Ever present, is the strong spirit of God as led by the strong baritone of Russell and the piercing soprano of Kristi.
